Ehsan Shahid Choudhry is a community leader and humanitarian based in the UK. Born in 1964 in Mian Channu, Pakistan, he moved to the UK in 1990 and has since remained deeply connected to his roots through ongoing humanitarian work. Alongside running successful food and retail businesses, Ehsan has dedicated decades to voluntary service, including long-standing roles with the Halal Food Authority, the Pakistan Welfare Association, and community policing initiatives in Hounslow.
In 2018, he founded the Open Kitchen in collaboration with Muslim Hands, a free community kitchen serving hot meals daily to vulnerable individuals. His work has helped reduce homelessness and improve community wellbeing. In 2023, Ehsan was awarded the British Empire Medal (BEM) for his services to the community.
